Q1. I have ordered AluDisc Pro Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount, do I still need to order a metal ring?

A1. If you buy any of the 3 products (AluDisc Pro Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, AluDisc mini individually, they will each contain a metal ring in the package. If you need more metal ring for more of your mobile devices, you can order metal rings separately.

Q2. If iPhone 13/12 series already has MagSafe built-in or is already using a MagSafe-embedded case, do I still need to put in a metal ring in the case?

A2. Yes, when using the AluDisc Pro/Max Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount, or the Apple MagSafe Charger, please put the metal ring into the MagSafe case, to increase the magnetic attraction, so that the phone can be firmly attached to the AluDisc Pro/Max Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount and Apple MagSafe Charger.

Q3. If my iPhone 13/12 is not a MagSafe case, do I put the metal ring in the case?

A3. Yes, place a

metal ring in the case to ensure that the phone will firmly adhere to the AluDisc Pro/Max Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount.

Q4. For wireless charging capable mobile phones other than iPhone 12, do I need to put a metal ring in the protective case?

A4. Yes, place a

metal ring in the case to ensure that the phone will firmly adhere to the AluDisc Pro/Max Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount.

Q5. For mobile phones that do not support wireless charging, do I need to put a metal ring in the protective case?

A5. Yes, place a metal ring in the case to ensure that the phone will firmly adhere to the AluDisc Pro/Max Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount.


Q6. Will the metal ring in the phone case affect Apple MagSafe wireless charging?

A6. From our lab testing, having a metal ring in the phone case does not affect the charging of the MagSafe charger. Please use original Apple MagSafe Charger to ensure optimal performance.

Q7. What kind of phone cases are compatible with AluDisc products?

A7. The phone case is best to have a thickness of no more than 2.5 mm to get the best results. The thinner the case, the stronger the adhesion. Magnetic adhesion will vary depending on the material, smoothness and thickness of the protective case.

Q8. Why is a shielding patch needed on the back of Apple's MagSafe Charger?

A8. Since the Apple MagSafe Charger contains ferrite, if it is directly attached to the magnetic head, the wireless charging performance will be negatively affected. The shielding patch ensures optimal performance of the Apple Charging Disc, as well as protecting the metal surface from scratches.

Q9. Will the metal ring scratch the phone?

A9. No. The metal ring uses 3M gel adhesive, so the gel is in contact with the phone and not the metal ring itself.

Q10. Will the metal ring affect the function/operation of the phone over time?

A10. No. The ring made of non-magnetic painted metal, which will not affect the function and operation of the phone.

Q11. What is the difference between AluDisc Pro phone stand and AluDisc Max tablet stand?

A11. AluDisc Max has a larger base than AluDisc Pro, and the enclosed metal disc is different:

AluDisc Pro comes with a metal ring that is hollow in the middle, designed for mobile phones and tablets under 8 inches, and is compatible with MagSafe wireless charging. AluDisc Max comes with a metal pad that is a solid plate with strong magnetic attraction, designed for tablets over 8 inches.
