A1. If you buy any of the 3 products (AluDisc Pro Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, AluDisc mini individually, they will each contain a metal ring in the package. If you need more metal ring for more of your mobile devices, you can order metal rings separately.
Q2. For mobile phones that do not support wireless charging, do I need to put a metal ring in the protective case?
A2. Yes, place a metal ring in the case to ensure that the phone will firmly adhere to the AluDisc Pro Stand, AluDisc Go Car Mount, or AluDisc mini Wall Mount.
Q3. Will the metal ring in the phone case affect Apple MagSafe wireless charging?
A3. From our lab testing, having a metal ring in the phone case does not affect the charging of the MagSafe charger. Please use original Apple MagSafe Charger to ensure optimal performance.
Q4. What kind of phone cases are compatible with AluDisc products?
A4. The phone case is best to have a thickness of no more than 2.5 mm to get the best results. The thinner the case, the stronger the adhesion. Magnetic adhesion will vary depending on the material, smoothness and thickness of the protective case.
Q5. Will the metal ring scratch the phone?
A5. No. The metal ring uses 3M gel adhesive, so the gel is in contact with the phone and not the metal ring itself.
Q6. Will the metal ring affect the function/operation of the phone over time?
A6. No. The ring made of non-magnetic painted metal, which will not affect the function and operation of the phone.
